In case of government-mandated Corona restrictions, what will happen to the plan for in-person adventures?

If the restrictions don’t allow the adventure to take place, we will cancel it and offer attendees a full refund. If restrictions allow it, we will try to adapt the original plan to still allow the adventure to take place adhering to stricter regulations.

If someone with a ticket feels sick and decides it’s best not to attend, could they receive a refund?

Yes, if you feel sick, have been tested positive for COVID-19, are awaiting a test result, or have been in contact with a person tested positive for COVID-19, you are not allowed to attend our event and you will get a full refund.

What kind of social distancing and hygiene measures will be taken at each Adventure?

We will always follow current regulations and recommendations at each adventure and will update our measures if the situation changes. Current measures include wearing a community mask, keeping a distance of 1.5m at all times (except for people from the same household), sanitized material or personal material for every attendee, and contact tracing.

If an Adventure is virtual, why am I being asked to purchase a ticket?

We do not want to earn money with those adventures, but we also want to provide an experience different from just attending e.g., an online seminar. Therefore, our adventures include e.g., gift boxes or food sent to you.

How often does each Adventure happen?

Currently, we cannot give a definite answer. For some adventures, multiple occurrences are planned, but it depends on the development of the current situation whether we can execute them. On the other hand, other adventures are only planned to happen once, but if events with larger numbers of attendees are not possible for a longer timespan, we might repeat some of those if we see that there is a general interest in them.

Will all Adventures take place outdoors?

No, some parts of the adventures will take place outdoors, some indoors. This is different for each adventure and also dependent on the weather. Some parts of an adventure might be moved outside if the weather allows.

Do I need to be in peak physical condition to attend a TEDxTUM Adventure?

In general, no. If there are any specific capabilities needed for an adventure, we will explicitly state those on the web page of this adventure.

How many tickets are available for each Adventure?

We will only sell a small amount of tickets for each adventure. However, this number can be different between different adventures and might also change depending on the current Corona regulations.
